Pre-season training starts on Sunday

The Wolves get back to work.

The Wolves pre-season training starts on Sunday.

The waiting is finally over: On Sunday, July 1st, the ball will get rolling again regularly on the VfL grounds at the Volkswagen Arena, with VfL head coach Bruno Labbadia gathering his men for their first training session of the new season at 11:00 CEST. The absentees will include Koen Casteels and Jakub Blaszczykowski, due to their 2018 World Cup participation in Russia. The fans can however look forward to catching a glimpse of the Wolves three new signings in action, with Felix Klaus, Pavao Pervan and Wout Weghorst all set to be involved. On Saturday, July 7th (14:00 CEST) at the ‘Gifhorner Flutmulde‘, the Green-Whites play their first test match against the 'Veltins-Selection'.

The first competitive game of the season will take place on Saturday, August 18th (kick-off 15:30 CEST), in the first round of the DFB-Cup, with VfL travelling to SV 07 Elversberg.
