Poland among top seeds

A round-up of how VfL Wolfsburg’s international players have fared in recent days.

Jakub Blaszczykowski klatscht mit einem Mitspieler ab.

A number of VfL players were in action for their respective national teams at the start of the week, but the Wolves’ international stars are now returning to the VfL-Center in order to prepare for the upcoming away clash with RB Leipzig on Saturday 24 November (kick-off 15:30 CET).

Jakub Blaszczykowski did not feature in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw between Portugal and Poland in the UEFA Nations League, but the result could have major implications for the German national team: The stalemate confirms the Poles’ place in Pot 1 of the UEFA EURO 2020 qualifying draw on 2 December, while Germany are likely to be drawn against tougher opponents after dropping into Pot 2.
