First Team

Perfect fit

Turkish fashion label Kigili to become new official VfL men’s outfitter from July 2021.

Turkish fashion label Kigili will be fitting out the VfL Wolfsburg team and officials in the future as the club’s new ‘Official Fashion Partner’. The contract with the well-established company, which was founded in 1938 and operates 225 branches in Turkey and a further 98 abroad, comes into effect from 1 July 2021 and will run for three years.

Exclusive opportunity for VfL partners

VfL's new outfitter will enable all of the Wolves' partners to gain exciting insights into the selection of player outfits and purchase the new businesswear in advance during an exclusive partner shopping evening at the Volkswagen Arena. In addition, the new PartnerPool member will take a very special team photo as part of the partnership, where the Wolves will pose for photographs in their smart new Kigili business outfits.

“Aspiring to quality – on and off the pitch”

“We are connected to Kigili not only by a love of football, but also by our aspiring to quality – on and off the pitch,” said VfL managing director Michael Meeske, highlighting the synergy between the Bundesliga club and the football-savvy fashion label. “We were absolutely on board with Kigili’s products and styles, which is why we’re very pleased to be able to welcome this well-established company as VfL Wolfsburg’s new fashion partner.”

“Partnership fills us with pride”

Hilal Suerdem, CEO of Kigili and a committed sports enthusiast, emphasised the significance of the partnership with the club for his firm, saying: “Football plays an important role in our society around the world. We’ve already been supporting the development of Turkish teams and athletes for a number of years, which also fulfils our social responsibility. In addition, Germany is a very important market for us. In addition to VfL Wolfsburg, we’re the fashion partner for other German clubs in various sports. These partnerships show the importance we attach to each additional store opening.“

Kigili chairman Abdullah Kigili, who has served as president of the Turkish Football Federation and vice-president of Fenerbahce SK, also expressed his excitement about the new cooperation. “As a Turkish brand, it fills us with pride to enter into a partnership with a top Bundesliga club like VfL Wolfsburg, and we’re looking forward to the years ahead. We wish VfL great success for their forthcoming campaigns in the league, DFB Cup and Champions League.”
