Goalkeeper Koen Casteels has been diagnosed with COVID.
VfL Wolfsburg departed for their UEFA Champions League game at Sevilla on Monday morning, but they were without goalkeeper Koen Casteeels. The Belgium international is quarantining at home after being tested positive for coronavirus. Casteels, who has received both COVID-19 jabs, began experiencing symptoms late on Sunday evening. He immediately underwent a coronavirus test, which came back positive.
All other tests conducted on players, coaching and backroom staff prior to the squad’s departure on Monday morning came back negative.
