VfL Wolfsburg is beginning an extensive partnership with Ningbo Joynext Technology Corporation (JOYNEXT), specialists in future technologies in the automotive industry, as the club expands their involvement in the Far East. JOYNEXT sets up its global headquarters in Ningbo (China) and European headquarters in Dresden (Germany). Going with more than 1,300 employees, JOYNEXT takes connected cars technology to a new level, and now joins the ‘Wolfsburg United’ international project as a Premium Partner.
Among the activities planned with JOYNEXT are training camps with the VfL football schools in China and Wolfsburg, as well as joint social media campaigns in China. Collaboration on CSR projects is also part of the agreement. The company’s logo will be visible around the Volkswagen Arena, for example on the international LED advertising boards and on the international press wall.
“In JOYNEXT we are gaining an exciting partner which is setting standards in digitalisation and networking, and like us, always has an eye on the balance between innovation and sustainability,” said VfL managing director Michael Meeske. “We are very excited about this agreement, which allows us to further expand our presence in the important Chinese market.”
JOYNEXT Board Director and CEO, Mr. Liu Yuan said: “We have development and innovation centers in Dresden (Germany), and we are really looking forward to our partnership with VfL Wolfsburg, a club that is always striving to improve and who go about their business in a determined way, both nationally and internationally. This perfectly matches the core values of our company - Entrepreneurship, Passion, Trust, Courage, Integrity and Sustainability.”
