VfL Wolfsburg have discovered their opponents in the UEFA Europa League Round of 32.
The Wolves will face Swedish club Malmö FF in the last 32 of the UEFA Europa League following Monday’s draw in Nyon. The first leg takes place at the Volkswagen Arena on Thursday 20 February, with VfL travelling to Sweden for the return leg a week later.
Malmö reached the knockout stages by topping a group that also included Dynamo Kiev, FC Copenhagen and FC Lugano.
“We mustn’t underestimate Malmö”
VfL Managing Director Jörg Schmadtke: “If you look at all the teams in the last 32, you could say it’s a manageable draw. That doesn’t mean we can underestimate Malmö, though. They finished second in Sweden - only a point behind the league champions - and will try and beat us by being physical and winning challenges, as you’d expect from a Scandinavian outfit. We need to hold our own against them.”
Final in Gdansk
The 2019/20 Europa League final takes place in Gdansk on 27 May.
