Maiden trip to Meppen
VfL Women are away at SV Meppen in the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga for the first time.

VfL Wolfsburg Women will tread new ground on Sunday 7 March when the six-time German champions travel to SV Meppen for the first time (kick-off 14:00 CET). The She-Wolves are clear favourites to beat the promoted outfit in the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga fixture, with second-placed VfL looking to keep the pressure on leaders Bayern Munich with a sixth successive league victory.
Team news
Head coach Stephan Lerch has more options at his disposal now, especially in the attacking department, after long-term absentee Ewa Pajor made a brief outing on her comeback from injury. After important victories over Potsdam and Hoffenheim, the Green-and-Whites have, on paper at least, winnable fixtures in the build-up to their top-of-the-table meeting with Bayern at the beginning of May. A strong performance on Sunday in Meppen is the first step towards that.
