Lukas Nmecha set for debut

Six VfL players have been called up by their countries, with Nmecha named in the Germany squad for the first time.

Having helped VfL to a 1-0 victory over FC Augsburg at the weekend, six Wolves players have been called up by their respective countries for November’s international fixtures. Five will be in qualifying action for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar – chief among them Lukas Nmecha, who has been named in Hansi Flick’s Germany squad for the first time.

Nmecha, VfL’s match-winner against Augsburg, could end up making his senior international debut at the Volkswagen Arena, where Germany play Liechtenstein at 20:45 CET on Thursday 11 November (tickets available here).
