VfL Wolfsburg will be without Ismail Azzaoui for quite some time. The 20-year-old attacker incurred an injury to his left knee in a challenge during training on Friday morning and will need to undergo surgery over the next few days. "It’s a bitter blow for Azza. In the first few days of training, he made a very strong impression and showed just how much quality he possesses. We wish him now all the strength he needs, an uncomplicated recovery and we look forward to having him back with us," commented VfL head coach Bruno Labbadia. The Belgian was on loan at Dutch first division side Willem II Tilburg last season.
