Omar Marmoush joins VfB until the end of the season.
Omar Marmoush has joined VfB Stuttgart on loan until the end of the season. The Wolves forward recently spent time with second-division side FC St. Pauli, scoring seven goals in 21 matches.
“Joining VfB Stuttgart on loan is the next step in Omar’s career, after already coming on very well during his time with St. Pauli,” said VfL sporting director Marcel Schäfer. “We all agreed on this move and we’ll be keeping close tabs on him and maintaining regular contact.”
The 22-year-old joined the club in 2017 from Egyptian top-flight side Wadi Degla SC, making his Bundesliga debut for VfL on 26 May 2020 in the 4-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen. He has gone on to make a total of eight Bundesliga appearances plus two more in the DFB Cup, one in the Europa League and one more in a Europa League qualifier. He has also played 36 times for the Green-and-Whites’ U23 side in the Regionalliga Nord, scoring 11 goals in the process.
