Die VfL Wolfsburg Frauen jubeln im Bulk.

VfL Wolfsburg Women got their week of highly-anticipated match-ups off to a flying start with an away win in the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga. The She-Wolves made the trip to 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam and came home with all three points thanks to a 5-0 victory. Felicitas Rauch, Lena Goeßling, Dominique Janssen, Lena Oberdorf and Zsanett Jakabfi were all on the scoresheet.

“Got a lot of confidence out of it”

VfL coach Stephan Lerch: "We were in total control and absolutely dominated the match, and we also got a lot of confidence out of it, because we never eased up and that meant that we could ramp it up in terms of the final scoreline."
The win propels head coach Stephan Lerch’s team to the top of the table, temporarily at least, with Bayern Munich in a position to overtake them on Sunday with a win at promoted side SV Meppen. In nine days’ time, the top two will then face off when VfL head to the FC Bayern Campus (Sunday 15 November, 14:00 CET).
