A disappointed Oliver Glasner gives his thoughts after the defeat in Dortmund.

Oliver Glasner gibt Anweisungen vom Spielfeldrand aus im Spiel des VfL Wolfsburg gegen Dortmund.

VfL head coach Oliver Glasner rued his side’s missed chances after the Wolves’ 2-0 defeat away to Borussia Dortmund, while his BVB counterpart Edin Terzic reflected on a “difficult match”.

Oliver Glasner: “I think we deserved more today. The team started brilliantly, got forward really well and created chances – but unfortunately they didn’t convert any of them. After that you could see the quality Borussia Dortmund have. We still threatened though, and had three or four very dangerous chances after we fell behind. It’s a shame we weren’t rewarded for all our hard work. We weren’t efficient enough in front of the opposition’s goal, which is why we’re going home disappointed. Having said that, our performance today was very good in many respects.”

Edin Terzic: “Wolfsburg had only lost one game before this one - and that was an unfortunate defeat away to Bayern. So we weren’t surprised at how good they were. We struggled to get into the game at the start and Wolfsburg had a lot of possession. We managed to get a grip on things after that though. We had some good chances and could have been in front at the break. We were very dominant in the second half and deserved to take the lead. We took too long to
