“Going home unbeaten”
VfL head coach Oliver Glasner was positive about his side’s 1-1 draw at Saint-Étienne.

The Wolves are in a good position in UEFA Europa League Group I following the 1-1 draw against French side AS Saint-Étienne on Thursday evening. VfL remain unbeaten with four points from two matches, level at the top with KAA Gent, who also had to settle for a 1-1 draw in their game against Oleksandriya. Head coach Oliver Glasner was satisfied therefore after the final whistle.
Oliver Glasner: “Credit to my players for the fight they showed today. I already said yesterday that we have big respect for Saint-Étienne, who have more quality than their position in the league suggests. And they showed today that they have very good players and are a very good side. We’re pleased that we’re going home unbeaten with a point. That was the target.”
