In the second friendly of the pre-season, VfL Wolfsburg suffered their first loss under new coach Mark van Bommel. Four days after the 2-1 win over Erzgebirge Aue, the Wolves were handed a 3-0 defeat by Hansa Rostock on Saturday at the AOK Stadion.
The newly-promoted second-division side took the lead in front of 500 fans in the first half courtesy of Ridge Munsy (31'), before Streli Mamba struck a brace after the break (71', 88') to give the clinical away team a win that they deserved.
