The meeting between the bottom side in the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga and the division’s leaders ended - as many might have expected - in a comfortable 6-0 win for the She-Wolves. A brace each from Zsanett Jakabfi and Ewa Pajor, as well as goals from Pernille Harder and Pia-Sophie Wolter, earned Stephan Lerch’s side their 15th league win of the season in their final game before the upcoming international break. VfL return to action on Saturday 21 March (kick-off 17:00 CET) when they travel to FSV Gütersloh 2009 in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup.
“We head into the break in good spirits”
VfL head coach Stephan Lerch: “We started the game well and adapted to the difficult conditions. The wind was very strong but luckily it played in our favour in the first half. We managed to score early again, which was very important. Overall, I’m very happy with our confident and dominant performance. We head into the international break in good spirits.”
