One week on from their defeat against FC Bayern München, the VfL Wolfsburg ladies returned to winning ways in style with a 6-0 thrashing of Werder Bremen.
The three points took Stefan Lerch’s team back to the top of the Allianz Women's Bundesliga, with Harder grabbing a hat-trick and Ewa Pajor, Claudia Neto and Caroline Hansen also getting on the scoresheet.
Next up for the She-Wolves in the league is a trip to SC Freiburg (kick-off 14:00 CET) in three weeks' time, though they face 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam (18:00) in the DFB Cup quarter-finals four days prior.
"Bremen constantly under pressure“
VfL head coach Stephan Lerch: “We dominated from the off and quickly went in front, which gave us added confidence. We moved the ball around well, especially out wide, and constantly put Bremen under pressure. Ultimately it was a very solid home performance with some good link-up play, plenty of aggression and determination. It was a performance that will give us confidence going forwards."
