VfL Women will play Arsenal in the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-finals.
VfL Wolfsburg Women are returning to England for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Having qualified for the knockout stages as Group A winners thanks to a 4-0 victory over Chelsea, the She-Wolves have now been paired with Arsenal in the last eight.
The first leg will take place in England on 22/23 March 2022 before the return leg in Wolfsburg on 30/31 March 2022. If VfL reach the semi-finals, they will play the winners of the all-Spanish tie between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
“Arsenal are a top side and the current league leaders in England,” said VfL sporting director Ralf Kellermann. “We’re expecting two even games in which small details can make the difference. In our first Champions League campaign in 2012/13 we beat Arsenal twice in the semi-finals, so we have fond memories of our opponents. We’re really looking forward to this rematch and will do everything we can to get the better of them again on this occasion.”
