Wolves to host Royal Blues in cup last 16 / She-Wolves drawn against Werder or Meppen.
VfL Wolfsburg have been handed home advantage in the DFB Cup round of 16, with Oliver Glasner’s side taking on Schalke 04 on either 2 or 3 February. The Green-and-Whites beat Union Fürstenwalde and SV Sandhausen to reach the last 16.
She-Wolves‘ opponents still unknown
The draw was also made for the quarter-finals of the women’s competition. Although the She-Wolves do not yet know their opponents for definite, they are guaranteed a home match against a Bundesliga rival. Stephan Lerch’s side, who have lifted the trophy every year since 2015 and saw off MSV Duisburg at home in the last round, will play the winners of the match between Werder Bremen and SV Meppen – which was postponed due to coronavirus – on 20 or 21 March.
