The key facts and stats ahead of VfL’s trip to Sevilla.
All four teams in UEFA Champions League Group G still have a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages of the competition. The Wolves travel to Sevilla on Tuesday evening (kick-off 21:00 CET) knowing that a point will keep alive their hopes of reaching the last 16. The teams drew 1-1 in Wolfsburg in September.
The Rojiblancos are still without a win in Group G, drawing at home to Salzburg (1-1), away to Wolfsburg (1-1) and in Lille (0-0). They lost 2-1 at home to the French club last time out, despite taking a 1-0 lead.
The Wolves recorded their first victory of the group stage on Matchday 4. The 2-1 win at home to Salzburg leaves them in third place in the group, level with second-placed Lille.
VfL have not won away from home in the competition since February 2016, when they triumphed 3-2 at KAA Gent. The Wolves have won three of their 10 Champions League games on foreign soil.
Sevilla have not won any of their last seven European meetings against Bundesliga opposition. Normally so strong at home, they are currently on a four-game winless run at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium in the Champions League.
