VfL Wolfsburg will begin their preparations for the 2018/2019 season on Sunday, July 1st. Then head coach Bruno Labbadia will gather his men for their first training session after the summer break. As to exactly how the Wolves preparations are to look will be decided in the coming days, although the planned trip to China has now initially been postponed. "We made the decision to focus completely on ensuring ideal sporting preparations. Nevertheless, China remains an important target-market for us. We will be continuing and expanding our extensive commitments there, particularly in relation to youth development," explained VfL general manager Dr. Tim Schumacher.
