Rules of game

The deadline is 15 minutes before kickoff of each match. The tipster receives four points for an exactly correct result. If the tendency and goal difference are correct, three points are awarded, and two points for a correct tendency. If you have more points than the VfL daily tip, you get another point - if you have fewer points, one point is deducted.

Conditions of participation VfL betting game

The betting game for the German Soccer League (hereinafter referred to as "betting game") is exclusively organized and handled by VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH. It is a limited campaign in which participation is exclusively subject to the conditions listed here. The following conditions of participation and data protection information apply.

Eligibility

All natural persons who are at least 18 years old and have their permanent residence in the Federal Republic of Germany are eligible to participate. A VfL online account is required to participate. Employees of VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH and their relatives are excluded from participating in the betting game.

Registration for participation

Registration for the betting game takes place via the fan app. Consent to individualized advertising and market research when registering an account is not required to participate in the betting game and is at the user's discretion.

The user assures that all personal data provided by him/her in the registration (first and last name, full address and e-mail address) are correct and complete and, by registering, accepts the conditions of participation and rules of the betting game. Each participant may only register with one account; participation in the betting game is free of charge.

Exclusion of participants

Incorrect personal details (first name and surname, home address and e-mail address) during registration may lead to the participant being excluded from the betting game. Similarly, multiple participation with different e-mail addresses as well as any other attempt at manipulation or violation of the conditions of participation will lead to exclusion from the betting game and the distribution of prizes.  VfL Wolfsburg reserves the right to exclude any participant from participation - even retrospectively - if there is any other important reason.

Account, password and security

After registration, the participant's account will be activated with the user name and password provided by the participant. This user name and password may not be passed on to third parties or made accessible to third parties. The registered user bears sole responsibility for all actions taken using the user name and password. Any misuse of the user name or password must be reported immediately to VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH. This also applies to the violation of other security regulations. VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH is not liable for any consequences resulting from the violation of these obligations.

Start and end of the betting game

The betting game starts on the first and ends at the end of the last matchday of the 2023/2024 Bundesliga season. VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH reserves the right to end the betting game prematurely and without notice for good cause. Good cause shall be deemed to exist in particular if the proper execution of the betting game is disrupted or thwarted, either completely or to a more than insignificant extent.

Betting is possible for each match until 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the match.

Sweepstake: Start and End Points

The predictor will start on the first matchday and ends after the last matchday of the 2023/2024 Bundesliga season for the men’s and women’s first teams.

VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH reserves the right to end the predictor ahead of schedule and without giving notice for cause. Good cause exists above all if the proper implementation of the predictor is disrupted or thwarted in its entirety or to a significant extent.

The following prizes will be awarded:

The matchday winner will be determined after the respective matchday. The participant with the highest number of points on that matchday wins the matchday prize; in the event of a tie between multiple participants, a winner will be drawn at random from those with the same points. The winner will then be informed by VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH within two weeks by email.

The overall winner, as well as the autumn champion, will be determined at the end of the season and after the first round of matches in the 2023/24 season, respectively. The participant with the highest number of points in each case will be crowned the winner; in the event of a tie between multiple participants, a winner will be drawn at random from those with the same points. The winners will be decided in a lottery from all applications received. The winner will then be informed by VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH within two weeks by email.

The prize will be forfeited if no response is received within 4 weeks of the notification of the prize award being given. There is no entitlement to change, amendment, or cash payment of the prize. An exchange of the awarded prize is excluded. The claim to the prize is non-transferable.

Costs incurred by the participant and in connection with the sweepstake or the prize are absorbed by the participant, unless the organiser has expressly agreed to bear these costs. If the prize is taxable, the winner is hereby responsible for this.

Data protection

In addition to participation in the betting game, the VfL online account also enables the use of other functions and services. The account will remain valid beyond participation in the betting game unless the user requests its deletion. Further details are regulated in the data protection declaration of VfL Wolfsburg under section 2.10.2.

For participation in the betting game, personal data of participants will only be processed insofar as the participant has consented to the processing (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 a) DSGVO) or the processing is necessary for the implementation, provision and handling of the betting game, e.g. for sending the prize or age verification (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 b) DSGVO). The personal data will not be transmitted to third parties or made available for their use without the consent of the participant.

Consent given can be freely revoked by the participant at any time. The revocation must be submitted via the VfL Wolfsburg data subject portal at www.vfl-wolfsburg.de/betroffenenrechte or in writing (whereby an objection by e-mail is sufficient) to VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH, In den Allerwiesen 1, 38446 Wolfsburg, e-mail: datenschutz@vfl-wolfsburg.de. If the participant has declared his/her revocation, any stored and otherwise collected data will be deleted immediately.

Disclaimer of warranty

VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH assumes no liability for direct or indirect damages that may result from participation. Claims for damages by the participant, irrespective of the legal grounds, are excluded unless the organizer is subject to mandatory liability, e.g. in the case of intent, gross negligence, injury to life, limb or health, or if they are caused by the violation of essential contractual obligations, the fulfillment of which is a prerequisite for the proper execution of the betting game and on the fulfillment of which the participant regularly relies and may rely. In particular, VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH is not liable for the betting game meeting the expectations and expectations of the participants; for the betting game being accessible at all times; for all data always being transmitted on time and without errors and for the contents being correct at all times; for the software used by VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH functioning flawlessly on a permanent basis; for data being deleted or lost due to technical or human error. VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH shall not be liable for any damage to the hardware and software of the participants used for this purpose as a result of downloading data content, nor for the loss of data. This limitation of liability does not apply to damages resulting from injury to life, body and/or health. The limitation of liability also applies to employees and vicarious agents of VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH.

The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply exclusively to the betting game.

Legal recourse is excluded.

Severability clause

Should individual clauses of these conditions of participation be invalid in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining clauses or the remaining parts of such clauses. The parties shall replace an invalid provision with a provision that comes as close as possible to the economic purpose of the invalid provision.
