Simon Jentzsch receives deserved call up

- Simon Jentzsch: Call-up
For the first time ever, VfL Wolfsburg will provide two internationals for the German national team squad. Striker Thomas Brdaric and goalkeeper Simon Jentzsch have received the call from the German coach Jürgen Klinsmann for the impending trip to Asia. Germany will play Japan in Yokohama on December 16th, South Korea in Busan three days later, and finally Thailand in Bangkok on December 21st.
Great demand
For Jentzsch, it is the first international duty under Klinsmann. He is certainly in great demand at the moment, as his invitation to play for the Team 2006 side against Scotland in Mannheim on December 7th. That match spells the sixth call-up by the Team 2006 coach Erich Rutemöller for Jentzsch. On the same evening, VfL Wolfsburg will play a benefit match for the cash-strapped club 1. FC Magdeburg.
