"We tried our best"

The first ever visit to the sold out Allianz Arena in Munich ended in defeat for the Wolves in round 8 of the Bundesliga. The reigning Bundesliga champions and FA Cup holders were decimated by injury, but still managed to win the game 2-0. After the game, both coaches attended a post-match press conference. Read here what they had to say.

Felix Magath (Bayern Munich): "They were an exciting 90 minutes for us coaches. It wasn’t exactly a glorious victory, but the others weren’t either. We had problems switching from defence to attack. Because of our injuries we failed to find our rhythm. Thank God we got through these 90 minutes, and I’m glad that we have a break now, it will allow our injured players to regenerate."

Holger Fach (VfL Wolfsburg): "We will be travelling home like a hundred teams before us, telling ourselves that we could have taken something from this game. We tried our best but to take points in Munich, you have to take your chances. That is what we have to admit to being guilty of."
