Wolves draw Sturm Graz in Intertoto Cup

The cat is out of the bag! VfL Wolfsburg’s opponent in the second round of the Intertoto Cup will be the Austrian side Sturm Graz. On Saturday (25.06.05), Graz beat the little-known side called Steirer Andorras FC Rangers 5:0 (3:0) over two legs. 

Goals galore

A crowd of 3,866 saw striker Bojan Filipovic open the scoring by way of a free kick after 26 minutes, Amadou Rabihou doubled that lead 8 minutes later. The talented youngster Jürgen Säumel made it 3-0 just before half time. There followed further goals in the second half scored by Dragan Sarac (80. 82.), who came on as a substitute after 65 minutes.

First leg on July 2nd

The first leg tie between the Wolves and Sturm Graz will be played on July 2nd at 3.00 pm in the VfL-Stadion am Elsterweg. Tickets for the match will be on sale from Monday at the ticket centre at the VOLKSWAGEN ARENA, as well as the online ticketing service available on the German language pages of this website.
