Six test matches before the season starts
Wolfsburg - VfL Wolfsburg has completed its plans for the preparation to the 2005/06 season. Before the start of the season on August 6/7, 2005, the Wolves will play a total of six test matches. On Wednesday (22.06.05), the game against second league demoted team Essen was scheduled for Wednesday, July 13 (6:30 P.M.) in Barbis near Bad Lauterberg.
The opening test match will take place this coming Saturday, June 25, at 4:00 P.M. in Gifhorn against the Lower Saxony league team MTV Gifhorn. On the following Tuesday, June 28, at 6:00 P.M., VfL plays in Groß Ilsede near Peine against regional league team Wuppertaler SV. Tickets are on sale for this game right now and can be obtained in the Ticket Center of the VOLKSWAGEN ARENA.
Last test match during the stadium celebration
After the first game of the second round of the UI Cup on Saturday, July 2, coach Holger Fach’s team plays on Tuesday, July 5, at 5:00 P.M. in Celle against Qatar’s A-/U21 national team.
During the training session from July 12th to the 20th in Bad Lauterberg/Harz, in addition to the game against Essen, there is also a game against the second league team FC Hansa Rostock on Wednesday, July 20 (5:00 P.M.) in Bad Harzburg.
On the occasion of the stadium celebration on Saturday, July 30, VfL Wolfsburg will play the Czech first league team FK Mladá Boleslav at 6:00 P.M. in the VOLKSWAGEN ARENA to finish off the test match series.
