D' Alessandro is staying

Wolfsburg - Andres D'Alessandro will continue to play for VfL Wolfsburg in the coming season. That is the result of the talks between the playmaker, his manager Marcelo Simonian, VfL president Thomas Strunz and coach Holger Fach. Fach and Strunz travelled to Buenos Aires specially for this purpose and came to a basic agreement with the Argentinean on the final two days regarding a future working arrangement.

"The atmosphere surrounding the talks was very positive and all the parties exhibited good will", was Strunz's satisfied conclusion. D' Alessandro was also very enthusiastic, adding, "I was glad the president and the coach came to Buenos Aires and that we were able to talk about everything in a relaxed manner." Andres D' Alessandro was traded to the Wolves in the summer of 2003 from River Plate Buenos Aires and has scored six times in the forty-eight games he has played until now. He will be awaited at the beginning of training on Friday, June 24 in the VOLKSWAGEN ARENA.
