Step by step

Maik Franz (r.): Glad to help

"Do you do much work for charity?" asked Carlos Vaz his mate who is the Wolves’ Bundesliga player Maik Franz, after a visit to the cinema: "Not really," answered Franz. That is about to change, because Franz is planning a long-term project which will help underprivileged children in Columbia. The project will be called "Step by step". "The project is designed to enable kids in Columbia to receive education," explained the 23 year old player.

To make sure that the project gets off to a good start, Franz has come up with a superb idea to provide funds for the kids in South America…

Worthy cause

In order to collect as much money as possible, Maik Franz has been collecting shirts from the Bundesliga and the second and third divisions. All shirts have been signed by all the players belonging to the clubs in question: "The shirts will be auctioned on the Internet, and all proceeds will go to the Columbian kids, "added Franz. The auction will take place from June 13th to 29th. The project is being supported by the prestigious Kicker football magazine: "Details of how to bid can be found on the kicker homepage," said Franz.
